Our Vision

Founded in 2011 as Dragon School of Blackbelts, our club has thrived under Nick’s inspiring leadership. Now in our 14th year, we proudly boast around 300 members. Founders Nick and Lindsey oversee everything from coaching to business operations, with the unwavering support of our dedicated team of volunteer coaches and class assistants.

We believe every member of Endurance Kickboxing Aberdeen has the potential to achieve remarkable things. We’re here to inspire, support, and help you succeed in every way possible!

Our Family

Nick and I have three wonderful children: George, who has CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder, Archie and Ronan. Our boys bring unique energy to the club with Archie & Ronan always causing chaos or bossing everyone around, while George, who uses a wheelchair, is nearby. Please don’t be alarmed if George has a seizure; it’s part of his condition.

George was diagnosed with CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder (CDD) at only 8 months old. He had his first ‘visible’ seizure at 6 weeks old and after undergoing a multitude of invasive tests, we finally received the devastating news that he had CDD. The disorder causes severe seizures and multiple profound & complex disabilities and is unfortunately classed as ‘terminal’, but George is beating all the odds and currently surpassing all expectations! George requires 24-hour care from us but we are fortunate to have a wonderful supportive family who help us all. He attends a fantastic local specialist school who have worked with him to achieve so much – they even helped him to ‘see’ after we were told by medical professional that he was blind = its amazing what can be achieved when people believe in your abilities, even against all odds! George now uses an Eye-Gaze device to communicate with those around him – and Archie loves to introduce him to apps like youtube and games on it!

We do have to spend a lot of time in hospital with George, but thankfully we have a fantastic team of coaches and volunteers who keep the club running smoothly in our absence.

About Nick and Lindsey

Nick began his kickboxing journey at the age of 26, after joining a local club. He spent many evenings training before trying his hand at competing and coaching. Fast forward a few years, he took on the running of the club and Dragon School of Blackbelts was formed. Nick spent almost every day training for competitions and coaching, competition both nationally and internationally – before winning  his way to a place on the GB Kickboxing Team in 2014 and representing GB in Slovenia.

Nick is now studying a degree in Sports, Fitness & Coaching, which he will finish in 2025. He then has plans to develop our fight teams further in the coming years to help take them to the next level with their competing alongside offering 1-2-1 kickboxing and competition prep sessions.

Lindsey started kickboxing at the end of 2013 after returning from London. Her love for fitness and running definitely helped with the training as kickboxing is an intense workout! Over the years, Lindsey has gained a vast number of qualifications including a second Dan Kickboxing belt, coaching children, pre & post natal training, nutrition, a diploma in personal training and is currently working towards a level 4 strength & conditioning coaching qualification – all while running the business and working in finance! She enjoys teaching large groups, focussing on developing kickboxing and life skills in the younger students alongside running fitness and personal training sessions for teens and adults.

our coaches

We have an amazing team of senior and junior coaches at the club. Kaitlyn, Stephanie and Lewis have over 50 years of kickboxing experience between them! Kaitlyn and Lewis are keen competitors while Stephanie concentrates on teaching our younger age groups, with all three coaches supporting us in classes and coaching at competitions.

All of our adult coaches are first aid trained and hold DBS certificates. We have a safeguarding policy and a named safeguarding officer – copies of certificates and policies can be made available upon request.
